Design

You need to include all of the outlined components but the design and platform you create your ePortfolio on are up to you. Remember you are creating a professional electronic portfolio and cleanliness is important.  Take your time when you're planning this part and don't be afraid to get a paper and pencil out.

Look at these designs to help you understand what NOT to do.

Then read this article on the principles of beautiful web design.

Now look at some of the choices you have for free electronic publishing platforms. If you use blogger you will want to use the pages feature so you can embed artifacts (like power points and videos) into the HTML code.  The benefit to using a website over a blog is that you have more options for creativity designing your page.  Google sites is free and you already have an account. I'm using posterous to build mine. Check it out here. I also think that weebly is a good free source.

If you are choosing a free website platform make sure it doesn't have advertisements or pop ups because this will take away from the professionalism of your design.
